Gordon Brown is an artisan. Each custom product he creates is handcrafted and showcases the unique characteristics that each piece of wood holds. From our signature wine charms, bottle openers, and coasters to our custom orders, Uncommon Grove products are certain to catch your eye.
Gordon Brown was first introduced to the art of woodworking as a child. At a very young age, Gordon and his older brother started working with their father building homes in Billings, MT. As he got older and started working on pieces with his own hands, he realized this was something he loved to do- start with a vision and see it become reality. He can still hear his father telling him "Quality of quantity" is the most important thing. "No shortcuts". Today, Gordon is committed to building beautiful pieces out of reclaimed wood. Each piece of custom furniture is handcrafted, with a focus on detail and design.
Gordon is committed to sustainability and repurposing old wood and products whenever possible. Whether it's wood from demolished buildings and barns turned into beautiful tables, benches, or serving trays or leather from belts purchased at estate sales repurposed as handles on caddy's, Gordon is able to see the beauty and possibility within.
